Our Stump Grinding Process

Cleanup. We rake the wood chip debris and can spread it as mulch over the grinding area, or haul it away — your preference. Most customers mix the chips back into the hole, top-dress with topsoil, and seed within a few weeks.

Area restoration. After the chips decompose (typically within a growing season), the area settles and becomes fully usable. We can advise on the right topsoil and seed mix for Rockford’s soil conditions.
