Privacy Policy

Tree Care Enterprises, LLC ("Tree Care Enterprises," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to www.treecareenterprises.com and to any phone, email, or SMS interactions you have with us about service.

1. Information we collect

We collect:

Contact information: your name, email address, phone number, and address (when you submit our estimate request form, sign a service agreement, or share it with us by phone)
Service information: the property where work will be performed, the work you're requesting, and any details you provide
Communication records: copies of emails, texts, voicemails, and call notes we exchange with you
Payment information: card information you provide for payment, processed by our payment provider ProPay (we don't store full card numbers on our systems)
Website usage data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and similar data collected automatically when you use our website

We don't intentionally collect more than we need to do our job.

2. How we use your information

We use what we collect to:

Respond to estimate requests and questions
Schedule, perform, and follow up on service
Communicate with you about your appointments, work in progress, and invoices
Process payments
Send appointment-related text messages (with your opt-in — see Section 4)
Improve our website and services
Comply with legal obligations and protect our business and customers

3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We ask before we track. Nothing beyond what the site needs to function loads until you make a choice on the cookie banner. If you decline, our analytics and advertising tools are never loaded for you at all.

Once you accept, we may use:

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (Google LLC) — which pages are read, how visitors found us, referring source, approximate location. We use this to improve the site.
The Meta (Facebook) pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — measures which Facebook and Instagram ads bring people here, and supports showing ads to people who have already visited our site.
Google Ads signals (Google LLC) — measures which search ads lead to estimate requests, and supports remarketing.

The last two are behavioral advertising tools. If you accept the advertising category, information about your visit is shared with Meta and Google and may be used to target ads to you. Accepting analytics does not turn advertising on — they are separate choices.

We do not use any session-recording tool. Nothing on this site records your screen or captures what you type into our forms.

Changing your mind. Select Cookie preferences in the footer of any page to change or withdraw your choices at any time. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, or via Google's Ads Settings and Analytics opt-out add-on.

4. SMS / text messaging

If you opt in to text messages from Tree Care Enterprises, we use your phone number to send appointment confirmations, reminders, crew-arrival notifications, job status updates, estimate follow-ups, and invoice or payment reminders. The full SMS terms — including how to opt out, message frequency, supported carriers, and other required disclosures — are at SMS Program Terms.

Phone number collection. We collect phone numbers when you submit our estimate request form, sign a service agreement, or provide your number when scheduling by phone.

Consent records. When you opt in via our website form, we record the timestamp and the consent language displayed at the time of your submission. For verbal consent during phone scheduling, we record the date and time of consent in our customer notes. You may request a copy of your consent record at any time.

No sharing of mobile information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share this data only with service providers that help deliver messages (such as our SMS messaging provider), under contract and only to provide that service.

Message frequency. Frequency varies by your service interaction — a typical customer receives 1–5 messages per service request.

Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Right to opt out. Reply STOP to any of our text messages at any time to unsubscribe, or reply HELP for help. See the SMS Program Terms for full instructions, including how to re-subscribe.

5. How we share information

We never sell or rent your information for money. We share information as needed to operate our business, and only with service providers who agree to keep it confidential. The third-party services we currently use are:

SingleOps — our customer management and scheduling system
Our SMS messaging provider — for delivering service-related text messages (appointment confirmations, reminders, status updates, invoicing)
ProPay — our payment processor
Resend — our transactional email provider (estimate confirmations and similar)
Google Workspace — our email and file storage (Google LLC)
Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager — website usage analytics, loaded only if you accept the analytics category (Google LLC)
Meta Platforms, Inc. — the Facebook pixel, loaded only if you accept the advertising category. Used to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and to show ads to previous visitors.
Google Ads — search advertising measurement and remarketing, loaded only if you accept the advertising category (Google LLC)
Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on our forms (Cloudflare, Inc.)

One thing worth being plain about. If you accept the advertising category, we share information about your visit with Meta and Google so they can measure our ads and show ads to you elsewhere. Some state privacy laws define that kind of sharing as a "sale" or as "targeted advertising" even though no money changes hands. We would rather say so directly than rely on a narrow definition — and it only ever happens if you opt in, and stops when you withdraw via Cookie preferences in the footer.

This does not apply to your phone number or SMS opt-in, which are never shared for marketing by anyone — see section 4.

We may also disclose information when required by law (for example, a valid court order) or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tree Care Enterprises, our customers, or others.

6. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described above and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Customer records — including contact info, service history, and signed service agreements — are typically retained for seven years after your last service. SMS opt-in consent records are retained for as long as you remain opted in, plus a record of your opt-out for our compliance files.

7. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission for online payments and access controls on customer records. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we have about you
Correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete
Delete your information, subject to our legal and accounting retention requirements
Opt out of any communication channel — text, email, or phone

9. Children's privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it occasionally.
