This page explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on www.treecareenterprises.com, what each one is for, and how you control them.
We ask before we track
Nothing beyond what the site needs to function runs until you tell us it may. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and advertising tools. Until you make a choice, we do not load Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, or the Meta (Facebook) pixel at all — not in a reduced form, not with tracking disabled. They are simply not loaded.
If you decline, they are never loaded for you.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies that work the same way for these purposes — browser local storage, and tracking pixels embedded in a page. Where this policy says "cookies," it means all of these.
The categories we use
Strictly necessary — always on
These cannot be switched off, because the site does not work without them.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on our estimate request form, so we are not flooded with automated submissions. (Cloudflare, Inc.)
- Your cookie choice itself — we store the decision you make on the banner, along with the date and time, so we do not ask you again on every page and so we have a record of what you agreed to.
Analytics — off until you accept
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (Google LLC) — tells us which pages people read, how they found us, and where they run into trouble, so we can improve the site.
We do not use a session-recording tool. Nothing on this site records your screen, your mouse movements, or what you type into the estimate form.
Advertising — off until you accept
- Meta (Facebook) pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — measures which Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to the site, and allows us to show ads to people who have visited before.
- Google Ads signals (Google LLC) — measures which search ads lead to estimate requests, and supports remarketing.
These are advertising tools. If you accept this category, data about your visit is shared with Meta and Google and may be used to show you ads.
First-party campaign tracking
Separately from the categories above, when you arrive from a link that carries campaign information (for example, a Google or Facebook ad), we store that information in your browser so that if — and only if — you later submit the estimate form, we know which campaign to credit.
This stays on your device and is not shared with anyone. It is sent to us only at the moment you choose to submit the form, as part of that submission.
Changing your mind
Select Cookie preferences in the footer of any page. That reopens the banner so you can change or withdraw your choices. Withdrawing takes effect immediately for anything not yet loaded on that page, and fully on your next page load.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Refer to your browser's help menu for instructions. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the estimate form from working.
Changes to this policy
If we add a vendor or materially change what a category covers, we reset stored choices and ask again rather than carrying an old consent forward onto new processing. We will update the effective date above when we do.
