Rockford’s Christmas Tree: The Tradition Continues

The search for Rockford’s downtown Christmas tree started back in August. Eventually, the perfect tree – a 38 ft. Blue Spruce – was donated by Phil Guardino, who recalls planting the tree in 1955 for his parents’ 50th anniversary. Then, for the 8th year in a row, Tree Care donated its services to harvest, transport and install Rockford’s downtown Christmas tree at Davis Park, just in time for this year’s Stroll on State.
